Work 6 of 17
AURUM NIGRUM
Oriental Golden Gate
The work presents itself as an ancient portal, a symbolic entrance to a world suspended between history and imagination. The dominant gold, dotted with black and material textures, recalls the preciousness of Oriental decoration, while the six raised panels evoke the imposing doors of a ceremonial entrance. The geometric and circular motifs carved into the surfaces suggest ancient ritual engravings, traces of a forgotten language.
The outer border, marked by small elements and regular signs, acts as a protective frame guarding the passage to a sacred and inaccessible place. It is a work that turns the viewer into a traveller, inviting them to cross an imaginary threshold and discover the mystery kept beyond the gate.
