LOVE

A black square densely covered with raised modules arranged in regular rows, like the keys of a keyboard or the pixels of a switched-off screen. Along the edge, a constellation of bright red dots marks the border like a frame of lights: signals, LEDs, small pulses that keep the surface alive.

At the centre a violet window opens, deep as a night sky, and inside it the word LOVE in red, stacked on two lines, with the tilted O made famous by Robert Indiana. Here the pop tribute is reread in material terms: the message is not printed but set in, protected by the dark weave around it.

It is a work about the contrast between noise and silence: outside, mechanical repetition and darkness; inside, a single warm word that is enough to light up everything else.
